The bottom line: They want to eliminate the thousands of United Auto Worker jobs. Why, I hope you ask? Union jobs set the level of wages and benefits for ALL jobs, locally and nationally. Including compensation for lower, or line management positions. The "neo-cons"(heavy on the "con") and the other elitist denizens of "Cheneyland" have been "laboring" (ironic, right?) for DECADES to break the backs of the unions. Executives, of course, set their own exorbitant salaries and perks, regardless of the performance of their companies. Their only imperative: Completely Unfettered Profit-Taking. And Greed. NOT having to provide fair wages, health care benefits, paid vacations and worker protections, thereby, making OBSCENE profits, is and will always be, the driving force behind these uber elitist, "cons" and their minions efforts to strip all worker protections and benefits. C'mon, think about it...It makes sense doesn't it? Do you think corporations just give these benefits to employees out of the goodness of their hearts? Hmm? Well, if unions go, so will that, "goodness." Workers and retired workers who support these neo-fascists, you have been had. Sadly, the time when a man's word was his bond, has passed. Your leaders will lie to you, just like those fascists of, "old Europe."

Shame, shame, shame on you! The American people have made it clear that they want healthcare insurance reform. Our economy cannot truly recover without REAL healthcare reform. Home foreclosures are, most often, caused by medical bills and untreated illnesses, due to the lack of affordable and effective health insurance coverage. Businesses can no longer afford the lost productivity caused by uncovered and "under"covered employees who can't get the health care they and their families need. A "public-option" must be available to compete with the big insurance carriers, and FORCE them to lower consumer costs. That's the ONLY way they will ever REALLY lower costs and increase coverage. Remember: With the insurance industry, "The Large Print Giveth and the Small Print Taketh Away." Always. ALWAYS. Congress created this stranglehold on ill, injured and hard-working Americans, by selling out to Big Pharma and the medical/insurance lobbyists. Why don't you "public" servants try proving that the insurance lobby doesn't buy your votes with their contributions to your coffers, by voting AGAINST the insurance companies and Big Pharma for a change, a change we can really believe in. Competition, per the "public option”, is the only viable mechanism to lower consumer costs and force fair and just profits in the medical and insurance markets.
